I rented a minivan on turo. The vehicle was given to us dirty and unsafe.

The vehicle had actual garbage in the vehicle and old underwear. It couldn't have been dirtier. I've attached pictures of the vehicle to show the trash in the beginning of the trip that shows how unclean the vehicle was and the underwear under the seat. We removed the trash so we could continue on our trip.

The owner provided us an unsafe vehicle that had wipers that didn't work, a rear light turn signal that was broken, a side door that didn't lock, a window that wouldn't close properly, and a windshield that was so scratched from not replacing the wipers we couldn't see properly through it at night. I brought all of this up to the renter and they told me to fix it and they would reimburse me. I fixed the wipers and the turn signal so it was at least drive able. The wind shield being scratched makes this vehicle very unsafe.

I cleaned the vehicle so we wouldn't be late for our vacation, otherwise I would have returned the vehicle. I didn't know about the vehicle safety issues until after I was on the road and it was too late to turn back and return the vehicle.

They put a block on me leaving me stranded and they hacked my wifes account to pay a bill fromnmy account and they are scam artists for sure be aware if they say they are going to call you they will not no matter what you do or say youll get a robot and the same answer everytime dont use them for sure they are a scam

I canceled the car on February 13, 2024. I was supposed to receive a refund of $377.38. I called on the status on my refund and was told that it was sent. I called my bank and got a copy of my statement for February and there is no deposit sent to my account.

Want to make a formal complaint about one of your hosts

I want to bring to your attention that you have a host who has caused me to never use TURO again and not recommend your service to my customers or friends. I booked a Corvette back in December for our upcoming Maui trip and Jon cancelled the trip two days before we were to leave.

His message said the car wont be ready in time due to a needed part, well if he knew the car had issues why did he not mention it the minute he put it in the shop and let me know at that time that there was a chance the car would not be ready. That why i would at least have a heads up as to what was going on, instead he waited till the last minute which is not enough time to rent the same car for the same price. Also that car was part of our trip, we were really looking forward to driving a corvette for the first time. So of course i was upset, the car was part of the trip and he told me 2 days before leaving, i felt like the rug was pulled out from under me.

He told then told me i had a bad attitude which i did get after he said this and went on to say Turo does not need customer like me, pls refer to my in box. Host like him should not be allowed to operate, i travel to hawaii every year sometimes 2x and always planned on using your service, well thanks to Jon, i wont be doing that.

Notice of Fraud on Turo - part replacement - Organized Crime gang

After my 2nd rental on Turo, the renter reported an accident - far from reality!

I found that the car was not in an accident, but rather I am a victim of Organized Crime.

The car was never in an accident - someone conspiring with the renter, dismantled and replaced the driver door with a crashed one.

The door panel is loose in multiple spots, even hanging in one spot, and there is at least one screw forgotten loose in the door side pocket.

When I found this, I went and looked for the Sentry videos from the Dashboard to see what really happened.

When I looked at the videos, I found that someone Deleted all videos of the Sentry EXACTLY for the days when the car was rented on Turo - coincidence - I don't believe so.

I am in the process of recovering the videos for a last and final proof of this organized crime of replacing parts.

They ignored me and denied my claim

I am a host on track for super host. I recently had a renter smoke weed in my rental and leave a rolling paper. I was very upset and I spoke to several people and all they did was try to sell me spiffy. Because I didn't capture ashes. The paper wasn't enough. Nevermind the fact that weed is illegal here in NC. I also got kicked out of their hosting program for voicing my frustrations and all the did was keep pushing spiffy. I'm livid. I have 2 cars on turo and plan on adding a 3rd but I was very upset that this is how they deal with hosts.

User's recommendation: Make sure you find ash. Smelling like marijuana and having a rolling paper isn't enough. If you don't have that evidence you complaining is useless and talking about it can get you kicked out of hosting program because after this incident I got kicked out.

Rented a car almost a year ago vendor contacted me telling me hes canceling the contract. first he told me he was selling the vehicle.

I told him Ill take one of your other suburbans. Then he sent me another message months later telling me hes canceling it because he didnt price it high enough. Turo doesnt stand behind me at all. Does nothing to rectify the situation.

Held my money for six months. I couldve rented a car from somewhere else for a lot cheaper. Now Im stuck paying almost $1500 More Because of their incompetence. Then they send me a nasty letter that I forfeit my rights to take them to court.

I dont care Im filing a small claims court suit and will let a judge decide if what they did was right!

The most unprofessional company I have ever seen in my life I dont know how these people are still in business! And of course, it doesnt let you leave a review for the host to warn other people about his unethical practices

I got ripped off by Turo !

Be careful of Turo !

I rented a car from a guy in Montreal on Turo for 48 hours (a trip to Quebec), and I had the regular insurance on Turo, and the car got scratched by a dog while in the Parking place.

I discovered that the insurance by Turo does not cover that, and of course the guys insurance covers everything, and they asked me to pay 1200 CAD, so I refused, then the estimated a cost of 600 CAD, and I refused, but they charged them directly on my Credit Card anyway, and now after more then a year, the come back to say that it costed more and they ask me for 1400 CAD as additional charges after repair its a rip-off so be careful of this scam company !!!

They only care about their hosts never about us as consumers !

Denied a rental

I put all my information in as well as my card info and I drive tractor trailers for a living there was no reason for me to be denied a rental my wife just gave birth in Pennsylvania and I cant even make it to my newborn either its id theft going on in my name or they did something wrong my job requires a clear license so there is no way I shouldve been denied cdl class a first they said I was approved then they said Im denied this is really upsetting me and wrong
