Turo - Good and bad experiences

Seems like a great alternative to traditional rentals. But you need to BE VERY CAREFUL ABOUT 'damage" that owners report. Lots of SHADY UNETHICAL OWNERS

Turo - Horrible

I had my turo account since June so finally i tried to book me a vehicle my account became deactivated for no reason & no explanation. I have a valid license valid bank card.. i didn’t see a issue. Now I’m unable to rent a car such a disaster because i wasn’t aware that this could happen until looking at the other reviews now. I feel this isn’t right.. is it’s discrimination? Is this even legal? I will look into further information on this company it has to be stopped NOW

Turo - Mostly Great

Overall a very smooth process, but the expectations for returning a vehicle were a bit too varied. I understand people wanting their car clean when you return but I was given specific instructions that the car must be hand washed before being returned after just two days. I think that’s a pretty clear undue burden on the renter. Lovely couple and very easy to communicate with otherwise.

Turo - Got cancelled twice. Once 10 minutes before I landed.

I got two cars I had chosen cancelled. One of them canceled me ten minutes before I landed for a very minor issues on the car (tire pressure sensor). I didn’t realize we had no car till I got off airplane mode on my phone. Took me hours to be able to actually find a car. When the car got delivered the driver said I had to drop him off which wasted two more hours for me. Then i had to pick him up to return the car which was very inconvenient.
